An Invitation to Process-Oriented Learning
In the rush to cover curricula, hit benchmarks, and prepare students for exams, ( I’ve been there, survived that! ) it’s easy to focus on outcomes: grades, test scores, finished projects. But what if the real magic of learning lies not in the final product – but in the journey that gets us there?
Process-oriented learning shifts our attention from “What did you produce?” to “How did you get there?” It invites students to explore, reflect, revise, and grow – not just complete. It values thinking over ticking boxes. It’s where mistakes aren’t failures but fuel.
As teachers, adopting a process-oriented approach means we become co-explorers, not just evaluators. It means creating classrooms where curiosity matters more than correctness — and where the process is the product that truly counts.
Let’s rethink not just what we teach – but how we grow.
Today, I am sharing an amazing video that might be an introduction for explaining instructions.
